Label Services
Pioneered the ‘virtual label ‘ model via Tsunami LG and provided a turn-key, out-sourced, US product releasing option for various artists, independents, and foreign-based labels, including Mute Records, Universal Music International, and Ear Music.
Artists released include Rammstein, Nick Drake, Alice Cooper, Foreigner, Goldfrapp, Lisa Stansfield, and Moby. The virtual label model became the forerunner to the many Label Services options currently offered by major labels and other distributors.

Retail Exclusives
As an adjunct to the label services function, Tsunami played a pivotal role in re-tooling the retail exclusives model for clients Target Corporation and giant UK retailer Tesco Stores.
The deal terms migrated from a traditional one-way sale to a more equitable joint venture and collaborative partnership between the artist and retailer.
Releases were supported by a Tsunami-led outsourced marketing team, with significant retailer marketing support to maximize sales.
Artists released under this system included Bon Jovi, Ziggy Marley, Faithless, Simply Red, Foreigner, Collective Soul, and Pearl Jam (whose Only at Target album outsold their previous Sony album at all retailers).

PBS Pledge
Tsunami developed the first-ever concert-ticket pledge package in support of PBS pledge drives.
Sarah Brightman’s groundbreaking Harem Tour in major US arenas established a new norm for public television fundraising by offering over-the-air ticket and meet and greet packages. This then led the way for key PBS artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Celtic Women, André Rieu, David Garrett, and Il Volo, to raise millions of dollars for public broadcasting.
-
QVC Live
Staged the first ‘ live to air ‘ remote concert broadcast for global retailer QVC from Bon Jovi’s Bounce Tour performance at Sacramento’s Arco Arena. The coverage included parts of the live performance, interviews with the band and featured an exclusive Bon Jovi product offering pitched by the QVC anchors at the event. The sales success from this promotion resulted in follow-up performances from artists such as Michael Buble and Michael McDonald.

Event Cinema
Tsunami was an early adopter of the ‘event cinema’ model, pioneered by the NY Metropolitan’s exhibition of their landmark operas in movie theaters worldwide. Tsunami was the ‘first’ to successfully adopt this concept for its clients, screening various long-form music specials in cinemas and promoting them similar to live concerts.
This created new promotional platforms and revenue streams for artists such as Sarah Brightman, and most notably, Tsunami’s US presentation of the legendary Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day concert film, which opened on over 400 screens in anticipation of the CD and DVD releases.
