Services Utilized:

  • Marketing
  • Talent & Brand Management
  • Business Development

The Project:

Tsunami has historically provided comprehensive global outsourced marketing services to rights holders and artist management. Tsunami was retained by Capitol/EMI and Apple Corps to supervise the release of the new Yellow Submarine digitally remastered soundtrack in 2001 following Bruce Kirkland's prior experience in managing the Beatles Anthology project at Capitol Records.

The Yellow Submarine film was re-released in 1999 and in the year 2001, a new Soundtrack was issued consisting of all 15 songs featured in the original film, replacing the prior album of only 6 songs with score.

This release was a major global initiative for EMI and Tsunami spearheaded the worldwide marketing campaign, featuring major market promotional screenings.

Our Role:

  • Conducted comprehensive due diligence on prior sales history, artist demographics, and consumer trending
  • Delivered a comprehensive global marketing plan
  • Liaised with and critiqued individual marketing plans and sales projections from all world wide territories
  • Retained and oversaw any outside marketing and promotional agencies as required
  • Initiated brand and media partnerships to provide incremental consumer reach
  • Implemented global catalogue initiatives in conjunction with the new product release
  • Monitored and managed all sales goals

Tsunami has provided similar marketing services to a diverse group of artist clients including Peter Gabriel, German superstar Herbert Grönemeyer, Depeche Mode, Erykah Badu, Sarah Brightman, the Bee Gees and Bon Jovi
