LED ZEPPELIN CELEBRATION DAY CASE STUDY
In 2012 legendary rock band Led Zeppelin reunited for a one-off concert at London's O2 Arena as a tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, the storied founder of Atlantic Records. The show was arguably the hottest concert ticket ever, with a reported 20 million people from all over the world applying for the 15,000 available tickets. The show was filmed and recorded for a subsequent DVD and album release by the Warner Brothers/Rhino Records imprint.
Warner's and band management agreed to a global 'Event Cinema' release to provide a promotional platform from which to launch the album and DVD and to allow fans to view the show on a big screen with state of the art cinema audio.
